I am Pandrangaiah Merum. I received M.Sc from Yogi Vemana University and Ph.D. from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, India. Before joining into Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Oklahoma State University, I worked as a Research Assistant in the School of Life Science, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong (2014-2015) and as a postdoctoral research associate in Harbin institute of Technology Shenzhen graduate school (HITZ), China; CHUK-Shenzhen Research Institute (SRI), China during 2015-2017. I also worked as a Research Associate in Sri Krishnadevaraya University from 2018 to 2020. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Ramanjulu Sunkar’s laboratory focuses on the following projects. 1. Understanding the functions of microRNAs in rice and Arabidopsis under abiotic stresses. 2. Deciphering the roles of RNA modifications/m6A methylation in abiotic stresses. 3. Overexpression of rice sulfate transporters genes in peanut plants. 4. Characterization the role of serotonin in rice under salt stress.
