Landscape Management

Landscape Management is a four-year program leading to an accredited B.S. degree with the option to also earn a minor in management.  Course work includes landscape design, construction techniques, business, and horticulture. Graduates are employed by landscape contracting companies, design-build firms, landscape maintenance companies, irrigation contractors, nurseries etc. Earthwork, grading and drainage, irrigation, lighting, retaining walls, and plant materials are just a few of the activities that involve landscape management professionals.  Managed sites include residential and commercial properties, golf courses and public facilities.  Landscape managers deal with maintenance of irrigation systems, walkways, lighting, and other hardscape features.  They also schedule and supervise landscape maintenance activities such as pruning, pest control, fertilization, and a wide variety of other cultural practices.
