HLA Industry Scholarship
Each year students in The Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture have the opportunity to gain additional scholarships from horticulture and landscape architecture state and national industries, companies and organizations supporting undergraduate and graduate students.

- American Floral Endowment Scholarships
- Each year applications are due on May 1.
- Students with a 2.5 GPA or above are welcomed to apply. AFE has more than 20 scholarships awarded annually.
- American Society of Horticultural Science
- Deadline: February 4
- Two annual scholarships in the amount of $1500 each will be given to two undergraduate students majoring in horticulture at a four-year institution of higher education who meet the criteria.

- American Society of Landscape Architects - Oklahoma Chapter

Amount: Two $1000 awards; Deadline: Feb 1; GPA: 3.0 in all subjects; Completion of 12 credit hours in landscape design/landscape architecture; Essay: Project Presentation

Financial Aid: Not considered; Other Criteria: Completion of 12 credit hours in landscape design/landscape architecture. Must be utilized in a landscape design/architectural degree program in Oklahoma.

- Annie's Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship
- Scholarship funds of $100,000 are awarded to students studying sustainable agriculture.
- Applications are accepted January 15 - March 15.
- Recipients will be notified by July 15.
- Garden Club of America Scholarships
- Various scholarships with application deadlines from December through February
- GardenComm Scholarships
- GIE Media's Horticultural Scholarship Program
- Must be enrolled at a recognized two or four-year college or university working toward a degree in horticulture, turfgrass management or field related to the green industry.
- Two $2,500 scholarships available
- GCSAA Scholarship Program
- Several scholarships for turf management for freshman through graduate school.
- Applications have various deadlines March - October.
- Horticultural Research Institute Endowment Funds
- Scholarships available: Timothy Bigelow and Palmer Bigelow, Jr.; Carville M. Akehurst Memorial; Muggets; Spring Meadow Nursery; and The Usrey Family
- Student may apply for as many scholarships that he/she meets eligibility requirements.
- Scholarship applications open in May and close in September
- Irrigation Foundation
- Student must be currently enrolled at a US technical, community college, university or similar institution of higher learning; US Citizen: enrolled in a class with irrigation related curriculum; Minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA; and demonstrate financial need. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,500.
- Application opens on October 1.
- Lawn and Landscape
- Two $2,500 scholarships to support academic scholarships for outstanding college students focused on leading in the green industry. Deadline: May 4, 2020
- National Association of Landscape Professionals Foundation
- Since its inception in 1998, the National Association of Landscape Professionals Foundation has generously rewarded students whose schools have been actively involved in the National Association of Landscape Professionals.
- If you are enrolled in landscape contracting and/or horticultural programs at two-year or four-year colleges and universities you are encouraged to apply. 2021 application will be accepted started August 2020.
- Oklahoma Garden Club
- Available for Jr., Sr. or Graduate Students studying fields relating to horticulture, landscape design, environmental conservation, floriculture, city planning, environmental concern and more.
- If your application is determined to the the top Oklahoma recipient, your application will be forwarded to the National Garden Clubs for the opportunity of a $3500 scholarship.
- Oklahoma Golf Course Superintendents Association (OGCSA)
- OGCSA Legacy Scholarship was developed to provide assistance to the children and grandchildren of OKGCSA members who have been active Class A, Superintendent Members, Class C, Class A-retired or Class AA members.
- Perennial Plant Association Scholarship
- Application available in November.
- For students majoring or minoring in horticulture or a related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Students should have at least one quarter or semester remaining following spring term.
- Recipients must attend the Perennial Plant Symposium.
- An interest in a career in perennials is preferred but not required.
- Proven Winners Scholarships (Undergraduate, Masters and PhD)
- Full-time students in a four-year university and must be at least a sophomore during the academic year. Master's and Ph.D. level students are also eligible.
- Student must be enrolled in Horticultural science or related fields. with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Apply by April 15.
- Robert Felix Memorial and other scholarships
- This non-repeating scholarship is available to undergraduate (Jr. or Sr.) and technical college (2nd year) students pursuing a career in Commercial Arboriculture.
- Scholarship amounts are $5000 awarded 1/2 each school year semester.
- Student must be a Student Society of Arboriculture member, Advisor referral and 3.0 GPA.
- Applications accepted January 15 - March 15.
- Sidney B. Meadows Scholarship (Undergraduate and Graduate)
- Minimum 2.25 GPA is required for undergraduate students or 3.0 for graduate students.
- Student must be a resident of the 16 states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or West Virginia) included in the Southern Nursery Association.
- Joseph Shinoda Memorial Scholarship
- Scholarship amounts range from $1000 to $5000.
- Scholarship awarded to undergraduate students specializing in some phase of floriculture.
- Application available January 15 and must be completed no later than March 20.
- SportsTurf Managers Association - SAFE Foundation
- Scholarships awarded to students planning a career in the sports turf industry.
- Application deadline is October 15.
- Sarah Bradley Tyson Memorial Fellowship (Graduate Students)
- Scholarship award is between $1000 to $3000.
- Fellowship is for advanced (masters or doctorate) within the US.

- Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association (TOCA)
- One $2500 fall semester scholarship to undergraduate college students pursuing a career in green industry communications such as working for trade publications, marketing agencies that promote golf course, lawn and landscape etc.

- Western Reserve Herb Society
- Open to U.S. citizens who have completed the 2nd/Sophomore year of study.
- GPA 3.2 or above and attending an accredited college or university.
