The Master of International Agriculture Program has partnered with Universidad Popular
Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) and Unversidad Autonoma Chapingo to offer dual-degree
Master’s programs. These programs provide student participants from each institution
with an opportunity to study in and benefit from the academic and cultural environment
of the other institution. For each degree, the student will have a “home” institution
and a “host” institution at which the student studies abroad, taking courses in partial
fulfillment of the “host” institution’s degree requirements.

Farmers’ Association of Piura
An excellent opportunity to learn about small farms transitioning into commercial
agriculture and challenges faced by farmers as they work cooperatively to improve
their agricultural production and evaluating their marketing alternatives. Knowledge
of production agriculture and/or agricultural marketing is required. An understanding
of Agricultural Cooperatives is a plus. Housing, meals, and transportation to and
from internship sites are pre-arranged.

Internship with Field of Hope
Students work in the Northern Region of Uganda to provide insight into food security
and agricultural sustainability. The internship involves working with small-holder
farmers and agricultural education to women and youth. Housing and transportation
within country is pre-arranged.
