Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of this study abroad course, students will have a better understanding of the veterinary medicine practice outside of the United States and the influence of culture on the profession. 

 

Course Highlights

  • Get hands-on experience by working alongside veterinarians and veterinary students from the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine and local universities.

  • Tour the UNAM Center for Teaching Research and Extension in Tropical Livestock.

  • Explore downtown Mexico City and the pyramids of Teotihuacan.

  • Enjoy authentic Mexican Food!

*Not protected by CFAR insurance. Same rate for in-state and out-of-state students.

**CFAR insurance protects the study abroad program fee and is non-refundable. Reimbursement rates vary by situation. Contact course instructor if you have additional questions. 

 

Course Enrollment Options

  • AG 3803 International Study Tour in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources: Veterinary Medicine (3 credit hours with I designation*)

*Undergraduate students at Oklahoma State University are required to take a class that carries an I designation for graduation purposes.
