Baughman is an agricultural communications and animal science senior who is being recognized as an Orange Gown recipient for her scholarship, citizenship, and dedication to the Ferguson College of Agriculture.

Jessica Toombs, agricultural education Ph.D. candidate places second in her heat of Oklahoma State University’s Three Minute Thesis Competition on October 19.
The 3MT® Competition is a research communication competition that challenges research degree students to present a compelling oration on their thesis or dissertation topic and its significance in just three minutes using just one static slide.
Agricultural Communications alumnus named Farm Broadcaster of the Year

Agricultural Communications alumnus, Clinton Griffiths, is named Farm Broadcaster of the Year. Griffiths serves as the anchor and editorial director for AgDay Television and was recently named the 12th editor of Farm Journal magazine.
Future Agriculture Education Teacher Academy Hosted Virtually
The Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and Leadership hosted the 14th annual Future Agriculture Education Teacher Academy in June 2020. This program was designed to encourage and promote the teaching of high school agricultural education as a positive and promising college major and career choice.
Three AECL faculty promoted, reappointed

The Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of Regents approved the academic advancement of three faculty from the Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and Leadership at their recent board meeting.
“Promotions are significant steps in the career of university faculty,” said Dr. Rob Terry AECL department head, “They result from a proven record of success in all areas of the land grant mission and specific duties aligning with a person’s job description.”
AECL professor of agricultural education named AAAE Fellow
Dr. Shane Robinson was recently honored as an AAAE Fellow at the recent AAAE conference. The AAAE Fellows are recognized for their exceptional and sustained contributions to the agricultural education profession throughout their career.
