Preparing yourself for a Major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
As a major in our department you will build a strong foundation in chemistry, physics,
mathematics, biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.

               Undergraduate Research
As a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major, you are encouraged to participate in
a guided research experience. You can become involved with a research laboratory as
early as you wish, even in the Freshman year. Our advisors will help you apply for
summer research internships nationwide, and our professors will draw on their experience
to provide you with both research training and personal mentoring.

               Get Involved!
Our department houses two student organizations

Delta Nu Alpha (DNA) or better known as the Biochemistry Club and Students of Osteopathic
Rural Medicine (StORM) give students a chance to get involved with faculty mentors
                     and other like-minded students.
