Nursery/Landscape
Participants will apply nursery and landscape principles and practices as they impact residential, commercial, public and recreational applications.
2026 Nursery/Landscape Contest
Building: North Classroom Building (building directly north of Ag Hall, southeast corner of Monroe and Hall of Fame)
Bldg Entrance: Use south entrance between Ag Hall and the North Classroom Building
Room: 2nd floor Lobby of building
Registration: 8:00 - 8:30 am
Contest Begins: 8:30 am
Contest Ends: Contest will conclude when all activities are done.

Nursery/Landscape CDE Resources
General Knowledge
This portion of the event will consist of 50 questions, addressing content from Introduction to Horticulture - Third Edition, published by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.

Identification
Each contestant will be required to identify the following:
Plant ID - 25 specimens (125 points)
Pests, Disorders and Beneficial Insect - 15 specimens (45 points)
Equipment and Supplies - 10 items (30 points)
Practicum
All contestants will participate in two (2) practicums (25 points each, 50 points total). Each practicum activity will consist of a hands-on task and/or up to 25 questions about the practicum activity. Possible practicums:
- Ornamental Garden Plan
- Pruning Nursery Stock and Landscape Plants
- Written Practicum
- Judging
- Equipment Maintenance
- Potting Nursery Stock
