Who are we?
We are in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences.
Our research integrates principles and methods from soil chemistry, plant/microbial
ecology, and mineralogy. We examine how plant roots interact with both the living
and non-living components of soil to influence carbon and nitrogen cycling. Through
lab, greenhouse, and field experiments, we bridge fundamental and applied research
by studying soil-plant-microbe interactions within a broader framework of soil health
and sustainable agriculture.
