Study Abroad Course in Greece
Course Learning Outcomes
This course will deepen students’ understanding of Greece’s history, agriculture, and culture through immersive, first-hand experiences. Students will broaden their knowledge of Greece’s agricultural production and economy. They will also examine the historical background and cultural attitudes that shape Greece’s current economic and political environment.
Course Highlights
- Explore iconic archaeological and historical sites, including the Acropolis, Ancient Corinth, Olympia, Delphi, Palamidi Castle, and Meteora.
- Tour diverse agricultural operations, including a goat farm, olive farm, honey farm, pistachio farm, and winery.
- Visit museums that bring Greece’s classical history, culture, and mythology to life, including the Acropolis Museum, Archaeological Museum of Olympia, and Archaeological Museum of Delphi.
- Experience Greek food and culinary traditions through farm visits, food tastings, local cuisine, and opportunities to connect agricultural products from farm to market to table.
- Experience island life on Aegina, enjoying its beaches, local culture, shops, and relaxed island atmosphere.

*Undergraduate students at Oklahoma State University are required to take a class that carries a G designation for graduation purposes.
