Jr. Master Gardener Program
Jr. Master Gardener's mission is to grow good kids by igniting a passion for learning,
success and service through a unique gardening education program. Children can explore
their world through meaningful activities to encourage leadership development, personal
pride and community involvement. Critical thinking skills, identifying community concerns
and learning to take action skills are developed through individual and group projects.
                  Camp T.U.R.F.

"Thanks for a good 10-year run of Camp T.U.R.F." Camp T.U.R.F. was a two-week, residential
academy at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Students would interact with professors
and explore a variety of careers in horticulture and landscaping with hands-on activities
at botanical gardens, field research stations, a turfgrass research center, greenhouses,
research laboratories and design workshops, as well as special OSU facilities such
as the Insect Adventure and The Botanic Garden. Helpful sessions about college admission,
financial aid, and skills for success were included in the academy as well as evening
                     and recreational activities.
