Wood Products Lab
The objective of this laboratory is to develop experimental research projects and conduct experiments to design value-added composite panels from underutilized wood and non-wood species including eastern redcedar. The Value-Added Wood Composite Laboratory is located at the Food Agricultural Products Center (FAPC)at the OSU campus.
The following list presents the topics of some of the research projects developed and investigated in the laboratory. A summary of each research project can be found in the power point presentations listed below:
- Properties of structural panels made from eastern redcedar
- Composite panels manufactured from eastern redcedar and other under-utilized species
- Manufacture of eastern redcedar particleboard using modified starch as binder
- Termite resistance of eastern redcedar particleboard panels
- Wood plastic composite production from eastern redcedar
