Course Learning Outcomes
Learn about food and sustainability through hands-on experiences in Costa Rica's coffee, fruit, dairy, sugar and meat industries. Students will also gain new perspectives by being exposed to the history, culture, economy and current issues of Costa Rica and Central America.
Course Highlights
- Explore the Poás Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Manuel Antonio National Park and more.
- Visit local farms and plantations, participate in a milking and cheese making experience and volunteer at an organic coffee farm.
- Learn about food and sustainability efforts in Costa Rica and Central America.
