Study Abroad Course in Scotland & Ireland
Course Learning Outcomes
Students will gain a better understanding of international agriculture by participating in a variety of activities that demonstrate the relationship between agriculture and the local culture. This course features direct contact and experiences with agricultural producers, industry leaders and government representatives.
Course Highlights
- Explore downtown Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Shetland Islands in Scotland.
- Visit a cheese factory, wool brokerage, castles, a salmon processing plant, a brewery and the Giant’s Causeway (A UNESCO World Heritage site).
- Interact with faculty and students from Scotland’s Rural College and other institutions.
- Attend the Royal Highland Show in Scotland.
- Learn to navigate the European train system.
