Study Abroad Course in Scotland & Ireland
Course Learning Outcomes
Students will gain a better understanding of international agriculture by participating in a variety of activities that demonstrate the relationship between agriculture and the local culture. This course features direct contact and experiences with agricultural producers, industry leaders and government representatives.
Course Highlights
- Explore downtown Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.
- Visit farms producing various food and fiber commodities, as well as distilleries and aquaculture production facilities.
- Tour castles, early settlements, museums, and areas of natural beauty on Ireland’s western coast.
- Interact with faculty from Scotland’s Rural College and other institutions.
- Attend the Royal Highland Agricultural Show in Scotland.
- Learn to navigate the European train and ferry system.

*Undergraduate students at Oklahoma State University are required to take a class that carries an I designation for graduation purposes.
