I am a Ph.D. student in the lab of Dr. Xia Lei. I hail from the royal town of Mysuru, in the southern part of India. I have a master's degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. Research became my passion during my undergrad thesis, I zeroed in on the field of healthcare during my master's thesis. In line with this, my research in Dr. Lei's lab will revolve around elucidating therapeutic targets using immunometabolic approaches for the treatment of type-2 diabetes and obesity. I want to run a lab of my own one day and hope my stint at the Department of BMB helps me get closer to this dream.
