Hong Jin Hwang joined the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in December of 2010. He graduated from Busan National University, South Korea with a doctoral degree in Molecular Biology. He started the first OSU life in Dr. Burnap’s Lab, Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics as a postdoctoral researcher. He moved to Array and Bioinformatics Core Facilities in 2010 as a research specialist. His main job in the facilities is the Next Generation Sequencing. He has successfully performed over 100 next generation sequencing and has managed and operated experimental equipment of the facilities.
