From FFA to Ferguson College

Meet these former FFA members from across the nation who found their home at OSU.

Erynn Allison
Tifton, Georgia

Erynn Allison wants to be an educator and knew many of her mentors she admired had attended Oklahoma State University. Erin knew FFA had given her the inspiration to teach the next generation and after a campus visit, she had confirmed something special was happening here and she wanted to be a part of it 

Abby Bianchi
Hollister, California

Abby Bianchi said her FFA experience allowed her to develop self-confidence and value connecting with others. When she came to the Ferguson College of Agriculture, Abby said she felt at home because the students, faculty and staff work together to create an environment of connection, encouragement and support. 

Maddie Dollarhide
The Dulles, Oregon

When Maddie Dollarhide moved 25 hours from home, she felt at ease knowing the community she had in FFA would continue into her college experience with the Ferguson Family. She has enjoyed meeting other students, faculty and staff who share the same appreciation for FFA and the skills it teaches its members. 

Hunter Haslem
Durham, California

Hunter Haslem was encouraged to learn more about the Ferguson College of Agriculture by her FFA advisor. She visited the Ferguson College booth at the National FFA Convention and connected with the college’s ambassadors who kept in touch with her through postcards and emails. It was the personalized efforts made by those within the college that led Hunter to join the Ferguson Family. 

Braden Heisler
Waukomis, Oklahoma

Following his parents’ footsteps, Braden chose to attend Oklahoma State University and knew the Ferguson College of Agriculture was where he wanted to spend his college career. Pursuing a degree in agribusiness, Braden said the Ferguson College is providing him the opportunity to work toward his career goals while staying involved with on-campus organizations and FFA. 

Dylan Kottcamp
Clayton, Indiana

Dylan Kottcamp grew up showing Hereford cattle in FFA, and his interest in the industry led him to attend the Ferguson College of Agriculture. Now in his senior year, Dylan said one of the things he has enjoyed the most about his college experience is meeting students from across the country and the world who have all found their home in the Ferguson College. 

Carmen Kuiper
Hico, Texas

Carmen Kuiper recalls meeting the Ferguson College of Agriculture ambassadors at the Texas State FFA Convention and feeling an immediate connection because they valued the skills and experiences she gained through FFA. As a student in the Ferguson College, Carmen said her time in FFA prepared her well for life in college, including the coursework, getting involved and building community with others. 

Parker Lyyski
Ellensburg, Washington

Parker Lyyski said the Ferguson College of Agriculture was her top choice to receive an education that will prepare for her future. She credits FFA for building skills which have allowed her to make the most of her freshman year on campus. 

Keona Mason
Tishomingo, Oklahoma

Keona Mason joined FFA during her sophomore year of high school and quickly found her place as a leader in her chapter. She credits FFA for developing her communication skills which led her to study agricultural communications at the Ferguson College of Agriculture. In addition to her coursework, Keona obtained an on-campus student employment position working in communications and marketing, further enhancing her skills. 

Libby McEndoo
Stillwater, Oklahoma

Growing up near Oklahoma State University, Libby McEndoo had many opportunities to visit campus for FFA events and interact with the faculty and staff in the Ferguson College of Agriculture. When it came time for her to choose a university after high school, Libby said there was no doubt in her mind that the Ferguson College at OSU was the right choice. 

Luke Sanders
College Station, Texas

From the first time he visited campus, Luke Sanders knew the faculty and staff in the Ferguson College of Agriculture cared about him and wanted to invest in his success as a student. Luke is pursuing his dream to become a veterinarian, and he said the support he is receiving paired with engaging coursework have made his college experience rewarding. 

Robert Sierra
Comanche, Texas

Robert Sierra was introduced to the Ferguson College of Agriculture through FFA and was interested in the agricultural programs that would prepare him for his future career. Coming from a small town, Robert said the move to Stillwater was an easy transition because of the welcoming atmosphere of Oklahoma State University. 

Pedro Valles
Dover, Oklahoma

Pedro Valles said his biggest takeaway from his time in FFA is the importance of serving others which has helped him create meaningful relationships in the Ferguson College of Agriculture. Pedro is currently an Oklahoma State FFA officer, and feels supported by his fellow students, faculty and staff as he balances his year of service to FFA and college life. 

Eva Van Dyk
Monroe, Wisconsin

Since coming to OSU, Eva Van Dyk has made the most of her college experience by finding ways to get involved. Eva said she enjoys serving the Ferguson of Agriculture College as an ambassador, meeting prospective students and seeing them experience the same excitement she did when she chose to come to OSU. 

Cortney Zimmerman
Spender, Wisconsin

To Cortney Zimmerman, FFA is more than just wearing the blue jacket. It’s the connections, leadership, skills and experiences. Cortney said one of the main reasons she transferred to the Ferguson College of Agriculture is the strong support of FFA from faculty and staff. After serving as a National FFA officer, Cortney said she looks forward to getting involved in the college and finding opportunities to further her leadership experiences. 

Hands-on Experience

Just like FFA, we believe in the idea of learning to do and doing to learn. We strive to provide a hands-on education and well-rounded experience for each of our students through experience in our classrooms and labs. The college is also home to 15+ learning units on more than 13,000 acres, including multiple animal facilities.

Faculty Connections

Our faculty are committed to helping you reach your goals and support your success as a student. They connect with you through teaching courses, club advising, undergraduate research, undergraduate Extension projects, career mentorship and more.
