New Frontiers is a capital campaign to raise funds for a new, state-of-the-art teaching,
research and Extension facility for OSU Agriculture.
A New Home for Our College
The historic $50 million gift from the Ferguson Family Foundation has and will continue to transform our college
in a variety of ways. The funds created a $25 million endowment for the college’s
operations and designated $25 million to the New Frontiers campaign.
The new home for the Ferguson College of Agriculture will strengthen OSU Agriculture’s
research, teaching and Extension missions while addressing two key challenges: attracting
and retaining scientific leaders and equipping collaborative teams with state-of-the-art
laboratory and field facilities. It will redefine what is possible for our faculty,
students and the industries and communities that depend on our research.
Your investment in the New Frontiers campaign will better prepare our students to
grow into individuals who seek to make a positive difference in their communities
and beyond. You can watch a short video to learn more about New Frontiers or view progress on the live construction camera .
The new home of the Ferguson College of Agriculture will prioritize experiential teaching,
flexible research and a strong sense of community through strategically designed spaces.
STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER
Expanded space and presence for student organizations, including the Student Success
Center, which coordinates on-campus career fairs and other activities with 60+ student
organizations.
MODERN TEACHING & RESEARCH LABS
The facility is being created with modern teaching methods in mind, utilizing flexible
lab spaces to serve multiple disciplines. It will change and modernize our research
and the way we teach scientific subjects.
INTERACTIVE CLASSROOMS
Featuring numerous interactive classrooms to harness students’ energy and the excitement
of innovation, the new Agricultural Hall will be a space that fosters learning and
collaboration.
About the Fergusons
Kayleen and Larry Ferguson are avid OSU benefactors who want to help feed the world
by elevating OSU Agriculture and its programs. The couple are the namesakes of the
Ferguson Family Dairy Center in recognition of their foundation’s lead gift for the
facility, including Helms Hall. The gift revitalized the aging program and empowered
OSU to enhance the research-based education offered at the facility while also attracting
the brightest students. The Fergusons, who met as students in the mid-1970s, have
received numerous alumni awards from Oklahoma State University and believe in giving
back to their alma mater.
